Typing with Typist.ng is perfect for those looking for a seasonal job, temporary job, and part-time job or for those looking for a flexible full-time opportunity. If you have a full-time job, Typist.ng is an excellent way to work a few hours during nights or weekends to save up money for gifts, school or even a vacation.

Why is my account deactivated?

Your account may be deactivated for a number of reasons ranging from a failed background check, having an average star rating below 4 stars, cancelling too much job orders and having lots of errors in your typed documents or complaints from users who booked you. We run time to time background checks on our typists and also encourage them to keep an average rating of 4.5 stars. These reasons can get your account deactivated. How and when do I get paid?

Typist.ng will direct deposit your earnings into your bank account as soon as your withdrawal request is received. Withdrawal request can only be made every Mondays and Tuesdays from 9am to 4pm and will be deposited into your bank account within 24hrs. You can track all transactions and statements in one place on your Typist dashboard so that the whole process is transparent. If you have not entered your banking information, please do so at your profile.

How much can typists make Weekly?

Here’s the short answer: You can type and earn as much as you want. And, the more you type, the more you’ll make. Plus, you’ll receive your earnings weekly and they are automatically deposited directly into your bank account.
But really, how much can you make? As an active typists, you can make as much as N20k weekly and over N50k monthly. Cool right?

There is also a fee associated with each completed job order – this is applied based on certain criteria such as your ratings and reviews. This fee ranges from 20-40% and goes towards use of the platform, and it covers everything from support, payment processing fees and marketing so that we can get you additional business.

How do I know I have a new job order?

After you've been booked by a user for a typesetting job, you'll be notified via sms, email or both and also on your dashboard that you have been booked. It is also advisable to check your dashboard regularly for new orders.

When I'm I eligible to receive new job orders?

Immediately after your account has been verified and activated, you'll start receiving new orders.

Where do I pick up the manuscripts after I have been booked?

Manuscripts will be picked up the typists at the drop zones within or around the institutions. Click here to view a list of our drop zones and their locations.

Error adding a payment method?

If an account number, name or bank name is entered incorrectly, you may later receive a message about an error processing your payment method. Try editing your payment details, making sure all info is correct.

If you continue to receive messages about payment errors, contact your financial institution to verify that your payment account is active and verified.

My phone or email is already in use?

If you are unable to sign up for a new account because your number is already registered, it’s possible you've already registered for an account. We recommend that typists have only one account both as a typists and as a Drop Zone agent.

How much is typesetting of documents?

You won’t pay for more than you need. Our rates are based on the total word count of your transcribed document. We charge 0.20 Kobo per word. Interesting right? Yeah, we thought so too.

How do I find and book a typist?

To book a typist, you need to sign up first. It’s quite easy and takes only about 3 clicks. Click on Book a typist button on your dashboard, select your institution or any closest to you and you'll find a list of typists based on that institution. Review the typists and book. If you're already logged in, you can book a typist from the button below.

How can I cancel a job order?

You can cancel an order by calling the front desk on 08171714196 with the Reference ID of the job you intend to cancel.

How long does it take to complete my job?

Our professional typists are the fastest in the market and can deliver in the shortest possible time imaginable. A 50 page document can be delivered within 48 - 96hrs.

How do I know my order is ready?

You will be notified via sms, email and on your dashboard that your job has been completed. You can also track the progress of your job order using the Job Reference ID collected after booking a typist. This reduces the time and stress of going after the typists every now and then to check on the progress of your job order. No more chasing typists for your job to be completed on time.

After booking a typist, what next?

Take your manuscript to the drop zone you selected and remember to wrap your manuscript in an envelope or office flat file with the Reference ID on it so the typist you booked can easily identify your manuscript.

How do I rate Typists?

Our feedback system is designed to foster a community of respect and accountability for everyone, as such, rating of typists is paramount in assisting us build a better platform for you so you have a wonderful typesetting experience. It is important as a user, you rate a typists after a job has been completed. Immediately after a job has been completed, you will be asked to rate your typists from 1 to 5 Stars.
